Message from the Rocky Mountain Chapter President, Kimberly Pease
Chapter members,
Attached is our 2010/2012 Chapter elections nomination form. Particularly, this year, our nominations and elections are very important because several current board members can no longer run in the same positions for the 2010/2012 board. If you are interested in a board position, you can nominate yourself. Rocky Mountain Chapter has come a long way over the past several years in garnering and retaining membership, winning National awards, and in making this organization one that provides exciting, necessary education in our field. The board is committed to ensuring that this surge in leadership, education, and value to our members continues. Position descriptions and responsibilities of each board member are included on the nomination form. Additionally, in the upcoming SGMP newsletter, each board member has highlighted their position and from a first person account, talks about what they actually do in their position, and the time and effort required, from their viewpoint. That newsletter will be published the first week in January which gives every Chapter member time to review responsibilities and decide if a board position is something that they are interested in. I give up the Presidency in July of 2010 and I wanted to ensure that every Chapter member is aware that I have been very honored to be your Chapter President. This is a wonderful organization made that way by it's board members, and it's chapter members. Please send in your nomination before the deadline of January 30, 2010.
